02:01Today we're looking at how the cell actually makes ATP.
02:06The electron transport chain pumps protons into the intermembrane space.
02:11That builds an electrochemical gradient across the inner membrane.
02:14ATP synthase then uses that gradient to phosphorylate ADP…
Instant answers

Ask anything — answered from your own course.

One hotkey. Relai reads the transcript, works out the question, and answers it — from your slides, not the open web.

Question: Why does the electron transport chain need oxygen? Answer: Oxygen is the final electron acceptor — without it, electrons back up, the proton gradient collapses, and ATP production stops. This is why aerobic respiration yields far more ATP than fermentation, which can't use the chain at all.

Every session becomes something to study from.

One click turns a lecture into a clean PDF — summary, key terms, and practice questions from what was actually said.

Cellular Respiration — Lecture 12

Summary · Key terms · Practice questions
Key terms
ATP synthaseEnzyme that builds ATP using a proton gradient.
ChemiosmosisATP production driven by ions crossing a membrane.
Practice questions
1. How does the electron transport chain create a proton gradient?
Complexes I, III, IV pump protons into the intermembrane space as electrons pass down the chain.

And a few more things.

Small touches that make it usable in a real class.

Screenshot analysis

Capture a diagram, slide, or problem set and Relai explains it — for when the hard part is visual, not spoken.

Tuned to your subject PRO

Tell Relai you're in an orgo midterm or a stats final and every answer matches that subject's depth and terms.
